WITHIN 2-HOUR DRIVE

• (Mormon) Tabernacle Choir in Temple Square downtown Salt Lake City (free performances)

• •             Thursday night rehearsal from 7:3- to 9
  •             Sunday television live performance 9:30 am.   Organ recitals daily at 12 noon.

• Northwest; Golden Spike Historical Park (weekends only).  6200 N. 22300 West, Promontory, UT, 90-100 miles north.
•  Great Salt Lake visit at:
  • (north) Antelope Island 4528 West 1700 S. Syracuse, UT.  50-60 miles
  • (west) Great Sale Lake State Park13312 W. 1075 S. Magna, UT 30-40 miles
  • .Salt Flats are also west.  +/- 75 miles is a rest area to walk on the salt.
• Onaqui Wild Mustang herds (2).  Best to hire a guide; “Wild Horse Photo Safaris” the horses roam on 200,000 acres.  
• Olympic Training Center, Snyderville, Utah.  +/- 15 miles east.  10am to 5 pm plus ski museum.  Park City is 5 more miles has old town main street, numerous shops, restaurants, and bars.
• Rio Tinto Kennecott Bingham Mine is so large it can be seen from the Space Station.  Visitor center and tickets; 12732 Bacchus Hwy, Herriman, UT +/- 45 minutes.  9:30 to 2:30.
• Take a mountain Drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon.  Visit Silver Fork Lake (15 miles) outside Brighton Ski Resort to hike around the lake or rent snowshoes.
• Travel up Little Cottonwood Canyon for skiing at Snowbird (12 miles) (advanced skiers and yes in May) and fine dining with or without skiing.

• Arches National Park, Moab UT. Requires a timed reservation for entrance through the national park service.  Reservations for May are issued during February.
• Bryce Canyon National Park, Bryce, UT

• Capital Reef National Park near Torrey, UT
• Zions National Park. near Springdale UT.  Angel Landing Hike (5.3 miles) requires timed reservation for May.
